Booking.com
This is how I book 95% of my hotels. I like that they offer free cancelation on many bookings and display both hotel & apartment options. Plus, their Genius program saves me lots of money every year in Genius discounts.
Trip Advisor
Find and compare hotels with reliable reviews on the world’s largest travel site.
Hostelworld
Find affordable hostels around the world with in depth reviews for passionate travelers that want to see the world. Great for budget travel!
Points & Miles
Point.me
I use Point.me to find award flight availability. After using it, I know where to go look for points & miles deals. It saves me lots of time searching on each individual airline website and narrows down my search.
Thrifty Traveler
This email service will allow you to set alerts for travel deals so you never miss a good cash OR points deal. I have found many great fares using Thrifty Traveler.
Going
Previously known as Scott’s Cheap Flights, Going is a flight deal alert service that sends emails to your inbox with cash & points flight deals, daily.
Tip: I use travel credit cards and the points I earn from spending with my cards to book ALL of my flights. I haven’t paid full price for a plane ticket in over 4 years… find my favorite travel credit cards here 👇🏻
Rental cars & other transportation
Rentalcars.com
I book my rental cars using Rentalcars because it is a search engine for rental car companies all over the world. Some of my favorite companies to rent from are Sixt, Europecar, and Hertz.
Trainline
Trainline will help you find & book trains and buses across 45 countries. I use Trainline mostly while in Europe.
Omio
Ever wondered the fastest and cheapest way to get from point A to point B? Omio will help you do just that and show you train, bus, and plane options for your journey.

Travel insurance & VPN
Safetywing Travel Insurance
The travel insurance we used on our 6 month trip to 18 countries. Making a claim is simple, the coverage is great, and the price is even better. I recommend this to ANYONE, whether traveling for 1 month or 1 year.
NordVPN – Internet Privacy
We’ve used NordVPN for years to protect ourselves on the internet while we travel. NordVPN provides secure, private, and fast internet access around the world. They ensure online privacy, data protection, and unrestricted browsing. Helpful when connecting to tons of unfamiliar WiFi networks abroad.
Luggage
Samsonite
I have used the Samsonite Outline Pro Spinner as my go-to carry-on for 4 years. It’s a high quality and durable carry-on that I’ve never had trouble with.
Calpak
Great for personal items as well as suitcases. I use the Terra 26L Duffel Bag as my personal item as it sits perfectly on top of any suitcase, as well as under the seatback in front of you.
Béis
A great option for stylish luggage, I have the East to West tote and like to use it as a personal item and laptop bag for shorter trips.
